About Jenny

Dutch born, Belgium based, Jenny Veenstra has been a professional rider and trainer for over thirty years, working at several dressage stables, training horses for elite riders. She also trained jumping horses, eventers, driving horses and Arabians, and has experience with all breeds.

 

From starting young horses to training horses at Grand Prix level for a former European Champion, Jenny has been training with three time Olympians Tineke Bartels and her daughter Imke Schellekens-Bartels for over twenty years.

She was previously selected by them to be the head instructor for training-weeks for Friesians at their Academy Bartels, Home of the Global Dressage Forum.

 

Remarkable list of trainers

In the past Jenny trained with her Friesian Grand Prix stallion Wolter V with Alex van Silfhout, bondscoach of the Dutch national team and with Johan Rockx, bondscoach for Holland at the Rio Olympics, as well as with Academy Bartels.
She also trained with Classical Master Arthur Kottas, former Head/Oberbereiter of the Spanish Riding School and Spanish Olympic rider Rafael Soto.

 

All over the world

Jenny travels all over the world training and coaching riders at all levels, from Australia to South Africa, from Europe to the USA.

Many of her students have trained their horses to the highest levels in dressage under her guidance, winning countless championships.

Her positive attitude and friendly approach makes horses and riders bring out the best in themselves.

Knowledge

In order to further enhance her ability to assist her students, Jenny has completed the training for Action Type Training, Deep Motivational Drivers and Rider Preference Instructor, as well as courses in sports psychology by Rico Schuijers and equine physiology by Eric van Breda.

 

Additionally, she has obtained certification in equine first aid from the University of Utrecht, and has completed various courses in equine physiotherapy under the guidance of Sylvia Haveman.

Friesians

Her expertise in Friesians is remarkable.

 

Being a showdriving judge and a former KFPS judge, combined with being a Friesian breeder and trainer for over 40 years, resulting in producing modelmares, approved stallions, Grand Prix horses and international driving horses.


As an expert in IBOP training she helped people all over the world to get AA and AAA scores!
